I've always been a fan of the Final Fantasy series of games put out by
Square (formerly know as Squaresoft). What I really got a kick out of was
the airships found in each of the games.
I tried to replicate one of them but while I was building it, I decided to
make this one more environmentally friendly. Being only powered by the
wind, sticking sails on it was the only way I could think of to make the
thing steerable.
After the design was completed, where was I going to put the silly-looking
thing? I decided to have it dock at a huge tree city.
"A city in a huge tree? Why, that a stroke of pure genious," I hear you say.
Well, that's what I thought, too until I remembered that the good folks at
Cyan (the makers of MYST and Riven) had already designed a sort of village
hideout in a tree in their game Riven.
But in my defense...uh..er... well, my tree city is REALLY big, isn't it?
